Resources for innovative teaching, including articles, interviews, case studies, documentary video, professional development modules, and an online community

Edutopia is a teaching resources Website maintained by The George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF). The resources include articles, interviews, documentary segments, tutorials, interviews, and research summaries. While primarily for classroom teachers, the resources can also provide ideas and inspiration for educational web developers, and give us a broader sense of how teachers are innovating with interactive technology in schools.

The Magazine section features articles from the current Edutopia print magazine. The July issue includes, among others, an article on students' use of the web in completing homework, a guide to using RSS to stay current, a feature on an online illustration gallery, ideas for using media in the classroom, and a report on cyberbullying.

The Videos section presents short documentary clips and case studies of innovative teaching and educational programs. The most recent clips include "Pursuing Passions After School", about Chicago's After School Matters program, "Around the Clock Learning", about unusual scheduling at Spry Community School, and "A Night In the Global Village", about Heifer International's Global Village program, which gives students an experience of what living conditions might be like in developing countries.
